Zimbabwe seeks global exposure through CNN partnership

Zimbabwe is exploring a strategic media partnership with CNN to increase the global visibility of its tourism and investment opportunities.
The discussions were held on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York, between Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister Barbara Rwodzi, Zimbabwe Tourism Authority Chief Executive Dr George Manyaya and senior CNN executives.
The proposed partnership would showcase Zimbabwe’s attractions, including wildlife, heritage, culture and adventure, while promoting opportunities across the tourism value chain.
The engagement comes after Forbes recognised Zimbabwe as its top country to visit in 2025.
Government says the focus is now on converting international recognition into increased tourist arrivals, longer stays, tourism spending and investment.
