Zimbabwe has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening intra-African trade through its participation in the recent Africa Prosperity Dialogues held in Accra, Ghana.
The dialogues focused on critical infrastructure development, including roads, digital connectivity, and integrated payment systems, all aimed at facilitating seamless trade across the continent.
Following a Cabinet meeting, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Professor Amon Murwira, underscored the importance of trade as a foundation for national prosperity emphasizing the need for African nations to fully operationalize the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) to achieve this goal.
The Africa Prosperity Dialogues provide a crucial platform for African leaders to collaborate on strategies that promote economic integration and reduce dependence on external forces.
Discussions at the Accra meeting centered on accelerating the implementation of the AfCFTA, which aims to create a single market for goods and services across Africa.
