Zimbabwe Embraces Artificial Intelligence: A New Era of Growth and Innovation

Zimbabwe’s Cabinet has approved a transformative Artificial Intelligence Strategy Framework, marking a significant step toward revolutionizing key sectors and fostering economic growth.

In a recent statement, the Ministry of Information, Publicity, and Broadcasting Services revealed plans to adopt Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to revolutionize industries, create new business opportunities, streamline government services, and enhance transparency, accountability, and citizen engagement.

Citing that Zimbabwe’s AI adoption is designed to overcome traditional development challenges, allowing the country to join the ranks of technologically advanced nations within a short time.

In an interview with Skyz Metro FM, economist Mr. Titus Mukove emphasized the critical role of AI in driving economic development, noting that all developed countries have industries powered by artificial intelligence.

As Zimbabwe embarks on this exciting journey, supporting the implementation of the AI framework will be crucial in unlocking its full potential and ensuring the country’s technological and economic advancement.
