Zimbabwe has taken to the global stage through Expo Osaka 2025 in Japan, leveraging the international platform to promote trade, tourism, and reshape its national image.

Speaking at the official opening of the global expo in Kansai, Japan, Zimbabwe Pavilion Commissioner General Allan Majuru said the country is using the opportunity to engage with the Japanese market in areas of tourism, trade, and cultural heritage.

He noted that the expo presents a chance to consolidate and shift the country’s formerly negative image.

The Expo, which opened yesterday, will run until 13 October 2025. It features participation from 150 countries, each showcasing innovative ideas aimed at improving lives and protecting the environment under the theme, “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.”
