The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has called on parents and guardians of children participating in sports to ensure they have valid passports to facilitate their participation in international events.
Jethro Hunidzarira, ZIFA’s Technical Director, emphasized the importance of having passports ready, particularly for children aged 13 and older who are active in sports. This proactive measure aims to prevent last-minute inconveniences when athletes are selected to represent the country in competitions abroad.
In related developments, ZIFA’s village rehabilitation project is progressing at the ZIFA Village under the FIFA Forward Programme. Phase I of the project focuses on refurbishing the boarding house and converting the technical center into a state-of-the-art office block and conference room.
Meanwhile, ZIFA is preparing for its upcoming elections, scheduled to take place on 25 January 2025, marking a significant milestone for the organization.
