ZESA Holdings Addresses Power Supply Situation
Written by Staff Reporter on November 13, 2024
In response to the ongoing power outages in Bulawayo and across the country, Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority (ZESA) Holdings has issued a statement acknowledging that the national power grid is currently facing reduced electricity generation capacity.
The statement, shared on their official social media platforms, revealed that the decrease in electricity generation is primarily due to a technical fault at Hwange Power Station. Additionally, low water levels at Kariba Power Station have compounded the situation, further limiting power generation.
ZESA Holdings reassured the public that teams are actively working to resolve the issues at Hwange Power Station. The power utility also extended its apologies for the inconvenience caused by the ongoing outages.
