Warriors awarded USD6 500 for AFCON qualification

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has awarded each Warriors player a bonus of US$ 6 500 for qualifying for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
The Warriors secured their spot in the AFCON after registering 2 wins, 3 draws, and 1 loss in the Group J AFCON qualifiers, ultimately finishing second in the group with 9 points.
In his speeech, President Mnangagwa applauded the warriors for their hard work and encouraged them to keep waving the nation’s flag high in the football world.
The Warriors’ technical team and head coach also received the same amount, and the government has already allocated $US1 million towards the team’s preparation and participation in the AFCON next year.
