Natasha Ngwenya, 33, has been arrested for stealing ZAR8000 from her relative, Kitumetsi Moyo, who was residing in South Africa.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), while Moyo was away in October 2024, Ngwenya, who was staying at Moyo’s residence in Mapane Line, Tsholotsho, discovered a locked trunk. After unlocking it, Ngwenya stole the money inside.
The theft was only noticed by Moyo upon her return in December. She reported the incident to the police, identifying Ngwenya as the suspect.
Ngwenya was subsequently sentenced to four years in prison after appearing before the Tsholotsho magistrate’s court.
