TSCZ Says Human Behavior Impacts Road Safety

Written by on February 26, 2025

The Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe (TSCZ) has revealed that human behavior has a huge impact on road safety and that most road accidents are caused by human error.

Motorists are encouraged to observe road safety rules for a smooth flow of traffic and to limit road accidents. TSCZ’s media and corporate communications officer, Lucy Kuwandira-Mapfumo, highlighted that the decisions drivers make while driving directly affect the likelihood of a crash.

She also revealed that speeding is a major cause of road accidents, while adopting a positive attitude, like observing traffic safety rules can reduce the likelihood of accidents.

TSCZ also urges motorists to engage in continuous learning and take advanced driving courses to enhance their skills, stay up to date with best practices, and familiarize themselves with new laws.
