Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe Launches Training Centers for Children

The Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe is rolling out traffic training centers nationwide to improve road literacy and safety among children.

Speaking at the launch of a training center at Hokonya Primary School in Chivhu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development, Honourable Felix T. Mhona, commended the initiative, emphasizing its importance in educating children on road safety. He further announced that the program will be expanded nationally, with Bulawayo Province as the next stop.

The minister highlighted that roads are used by both drivers and pedestrians, underscoring the need to equip children with essential road safety knowledge.

Traffic training centers will help children understand road rules, pedestrian safety, traffic signs, road markings, and proper crossing techniques.
