Scheduled Power Maintenance in Hwange Announced for tomorrow

The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) has announced a planned maintenance outage for the western region of Hwange, scheduled for tomorrow, 16 October 2024. The maintenance is set to take place between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, with several areas expected to be affected by the power disruption.
The affected locations include Ngumija, Railton, Ingagula, Synohydro B11, Whitestone, Thuthu, and the South Mining Plant B, along with surrounding areas. Power will be restored after the maintenance is completed.
According to ZETDC, this scheduled maintenance is part of ongoing efforts to upgrade the region’s electrical infrastructure, aimed at improving the reliability of electricity supply. By enhancing the power grid, the utility company hopes to reduce the occurrence of unplanned outages and increase efficiency in electricity delivery.
Residents and companies in the affected areas have been advised to plan accordingly, as the power outage is necessary to ensure long-term improvements in service quality.
