SADC-PF embraces AI to modernize Parliamentary processes

The Southern Africa Development Community Parliamentary Forum (SADC-PF) is currently hosting its 56th Plenary Assembly in Livingstone, Zambia.
The event, themed “Leveraging Technology and Innovation for Smart, Inclusive and Responsive Parliaments in the SADC Region,” is focused on exploring the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to revolutionize parliamentary functions.
By integrating AI into parliamentary processes, the SADC-PF aims to enhance decision-making, improve governance, and foster regional integration. AI can be utilized for data analysis, predictive modeling, and providing informed insights to lawmakers.
The forum will also see the launch of the SADC PF Parliamentary Alliances on Agrifood systems, food security, and nutrition.
This initiative seeks to highlight the importance of addressing food security challenges in the region and leveraging technology to find sustainable solutions.
