In a remarkable display of entrepreneurial excellence, Mvenhle Mabutho Sikhosana, the CEO of S.K Broiler Farm, has been honored with the Under 30 Agripreneur of the Year Business Award at the (FOYAs) recently.

The Founders of the Year Awards (FOYAs) celebrate outstanding young entrepreneurs, innovators, and leaders making a positive impact in their industries. The award ceremony, renowned for bringing together a diverse group of talented individuals, marked a proud moment for Mr Sikhosana and S.K Broiler Farm.

Reflecting on his journey, Sikhosana shared in an interview how his upbringing in Zimbabwe inspired the foundation of his business.

“Growing up in Zimbabwe, we experienced difficulties buying food parcels mid-month as we awaited month-end remittances from relatives in the diaspora. That is why I decided to start this company—to directly support families with relatives abroad in local communities like Nketa, Nkulumane, Makhokhoba, and others,” he said.

S.K Broiler Farm, which has been widely recognized for its innovative approach to agribusiness, has created a reliable food supply chain that bridges international remittances and local food security. Community members have lauded the company for its impact.

“Siyayibonga i S.K Broiler Farm ngokusiza shuwa intandane zikamlimu ngomsebenzi omuhle kangako,” said a resident from Nkulumane, expressing gratitude for the company’s exceptional contributions.

The award underscores Sikhosana’s visionary leadership and the growing significance of youth-driven solutions in addressing socioeconomic challenges through agripreneurship.
