Presidential War Veterans Fund to Be Launched in Matabeleland North

The Presidential War Veterans Fund is set to be launched in Matabeleland North on 6 March at Ndalinyoka Shopping Centre, Ward 18, Tinde Manzasiya Village, at the homestead of Cde Malibamba. The initiative, introduced by President Emmerson Mnangagwa, aims to support and empower war veterans through interest-free loans totaling US$150,000.
The event will be officiated by the Secretary for War Veterans, Cde Douglas Mahiya. Other key speakers will include Presidential Investment Advisor Dr. Paul Tungwarara, Matabeleland North Minister of State Cde Richard Moyo, and Minister of Veterans of the Liberation Struggle Senator Monica Mavhunga.
As part of the initiative, the launch will also introduce a borehole drilling scheme and a housing program, both aimed at improving the welfare of former liberation fighters.
The fund has already been rolled out in several provinces, including Mashonaland West on 18 February, Manicaland on 15 February, Harare on 25 February, and Bulawayo on 8 February.
