President Mnangagwa Officially Opens UN Tourism Forum on Gastronomy in Victoria Falls

Zimbabwean President Dr. Emmerson Mnangagwa officially opened the first United Nations Tourism Regional Forum on Gastronomy for Africa in Victoria Falls yesterday.
The three-day forum, which ends on Sunday, has attracted over 400 delegates.
The event saw His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa, the First Lady Zimbabwe Amai Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa, The First Lady of Serbia Tamara Vučić , The First Lady of Angola Ana Dias Lourenço among other honorable ministers and foreign dignitaries tour exhibitions of Indigenous foods by different countries.
In his keynote address, President Mnangagwa emphasized the importance of tourism to the economy.
Speaking in the same event, Minister of Tourism and Hospitality, Honorable Barbara Rwodzi, announced the Tourism and hospitality’s ambitious goal to grow the industry beyond the US$ 5 million mark by year 2025.
The UN Tourism Regional Forum on Gastronomy for Africa aims to promote traditional cuisine and gastronomy tourism, fostering sustainable growth and development in the sector.
