President Emmerson Mnangagwa has expressed gratitude to Southern African Development Committee (SADC) countries for their continued support in Zimbabwe’s fight against sanctions. Ahead of the Anti-Sanctions Day commemorations tomorrow, Mnangagwa acknowledged the outgoing SADC chairman, Angolan President João Lourenço, and former chairpersons for their efforts to advocate for the removal of sanctions.
In his statement, Mnangagwa emphasized that ordinary Zimbabweans are the ones suffering the most under these sanctions. He called for their immediate and unconditional removal to give the people of Zimbabwe a chance at prosperity.
The annual Anti-Sanctions Day will be marked nationwide tomorrow, with the president attending the main event at Bulawayo City Hall. This day serves as a reminder of the sanctions’ impact and the need for their removal.
