President Emmerson Mnangagwa today received letters of credence from four newly appointed ambassadors at State House in Harare, in a ceremony highlighting Zimbabwe’s continued drive to deepen diplomatic engagement and international cooperation.
Among the envoys accredited was Roland Beridze, Ambassador of Georgia, who reaffirmed his country’s commitment to strengthening political, economic, and cultural relations with Zimbabwe.
Ambassador Beridze said discussions are underway to establish a comprehensive legal framework to support bilateral cooperation, while encouraging Georgian investors and businesses to explore opportunities within Zimbabwe’s growing economy.
Also presenting credentials was Philip Hewitt, Ambassador of New Zealand, who expressed confidence in the future of relations between the two countries.
Following his meeting with President Mnangagwa, Ambassador Hewitt identified agriculture, trade, and education as strategic sectors with significant potential for expanded collaboration, describing Zimbabwe as an important regional partner.
The President also received credentials from Domingo Mituy Edjang Adugu of Equatorial Guinea and Vladimir Grz of Slovakia.
The accreditation ceremony underscores Zimbabwe’s ongoing re-engagement and foreign policy efforts aimed at strengthening bilateral partnerships, attracting investment, and expanding international cooperation in support of national development goals.
