Police Warn of Fireworks Regulations Ahead of New Year’s Celebrations
Written by Staff Reporter on December 31, 2024
As Zimbabwe prepares to usher in the new year, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is reminding residents and visitors that firing fireworks requires clearance from the relevant authorities.
In an interview with Breeze FM, the ZRP emphasized that firing fireworks without clearance from the ZRP or Victoria Falls City Council is against the law.
The ZRP has warned that anyone found firing fireworks without clearance will face legal action.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable celebration, the ZRP also encouraged parents to exercise vigilance and strict supervision over their children during the New Year’s celebrations.
As the nation counts down to the start of a new year, the ZRP is urging everyone to celebrate responsibly and to respect the law.
This reminder is part of the ZRP’s efforts to maintain public safety and order during the festive season.
