Police Hunt for Cash-in-Transit Officer Over US$86K Theft

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is appealing for information that may lead to the arrest of a 43-year-old man wanted in connection with a theft case in Victoria Falls.
The suspect, Jumani Chuma, was employed by a security company as a cash-in-transit officer, where he was responsible for operating a vault used to store company funds.
Police say Chuma allegedly went missing on March 30, 2026, prompting concerns from his employer.
Following an audit, the company discovered that US$86 989 was unaccounted for, leading to a police investigation.
Authorities are urging members of the public with any information that may assist in locating the suspect to report to their nearest police station.
