The Passengers Association of Zimbabwe (PAZ) is celebrating a major victory in its efforts to promote passenger welfare and safety. The organization has successfully advocated for the amendment of Statutory Instrument 118 of 2023, a move that prioritizes the well-being and safety of passengers.
According to PAZ President , this achievement demonstrates the organization’s commitment to driving positive change in the transport sector and promoting the interests of passengers.
However, PAZ notes that despite this progress, the enforcement of traffic regulations by the Vehicle Inspection Department (VID) and the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) remains a major concern. The organization is urging the relevant authorities to strengthen enforcement mechanisms to ensure the safety and well-being of all road users.
PAZ has pledged to continue advocating for the rights and interests of passengers, working towards a safer and more efficient transport system for all Zimbabweans.
