NUST Workshop Empowers Educators to Teach Climate Change

The National University of Science and Technology (NUST) yesterday hosted a crucial workshop aimed at empowering educators to effectively integrate climate change education into their teaching methods.
Organized by Climateprenuer, the workshop focused on equipping teachers with the skills to inspire environmental and climate action in their students.
Held under the theme “Empowering Educators for Environmental and Climate Action,” the workshop aimed to bolster environmental stewardship, experiential learning, and community-focused initiatives within schools’ environmental and climate action clubs.
Director of the Institute of Development Sciences at NUST, Dr. Mkhokheli Sithole, highlighted the vital role teachers play in shaping a sustainable future, emphasizing the necessity of educators in including climate sustainability and environmental stewardship into their teaching approaches.
He also highlighted the importance of fostering partnerships between educators, students, and other stakeholders to advance sustainability initiatives.
