Nurses in Zimbabwe Required to Have Tax Clearance for Registration
Written by Staff Reporter on January 22, 2025
The Nurse Council of Zimbabwe (NCZ) has announced a new regulation making tax clearance mandatory for all nurses seeking registration.
In a statement, the NCZ outlined that nurses will now be required to present a tax clearance certificate as part of their registration process.
This includes the renewal of practicing certificates, which will only be issued once health institutions and organizations submit a list of their staff along with tax clearance from the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA).
This policy change follows Public Notice 92 of 2024, issued by ZIMRA on December 5, 2024, which aims to strengthen accountability in the healthcare sector.
