NRZ officials in China for railway construction seminar

A delegation of 29 officials from the National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ) are currently in Shanghai, China attending a seminar on railway construction and operation management.

Hosted and funded by the Chinese government, the seminar offers a unique opportunity for the NRZ team to learn from China’s advanced railway technologies and management systems.

The delegation will explore various aspects of railway operations, including locomotive manufacturing, signaling, train control systems, and safety management.

This knowledge exchange comes at a critical time for NRZ, as the organization seeks to modernize Zimbabwe’s railway network. By learning from China’s experience, NRZ aims to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.

Meanwhile, the seminar is also in line with China’s 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up, a period marked by significant advancements in the country’s railway sector.
