New Victoria Falls Councillors Sworn In

Three newly elected Victoria Falls councillors have been sworn into office, with a commitment to improve service delivery and work collectively for the development of the city.

The councillors representing Wards 9, 10 and 11 took their oaths during a Special Council Meeting held in the Council Boardroom following by-elections conducted on 1 August 2026.

The new councillors are Tapiwa Sibanda for Ward 9, Thindolie Sibanda for Ward 10 and George Mhlanga for Ward 11.

Speaking at the ceremony today, Victoria Falls Mayor Councillor Prince Thuso Moyo congratulated the newly elected officials and urged them to put aside political differences and focus on serving the community.

The Mayor further encouraged the councillors to work as one team in delivering quality services and advancing the development of Victoria Falls.

Victoria Falls Town Clerk Mr Ronnie Dube called on the councillors to promote unity and collaboration as they work with council management to improve services for residents.

The new councillors are expected to undergo an induction programme before fully taking up their council responsibilities.
