Ministry of Women Affairs Reviews NDS1 Progress

The Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development held a workshop earlier today, in Harare to review progress made under the National Development Strategy 1 (NDS1) and consult on priorities for the upcoming National Development Strategy 2 (NDS2).
In her address, Permanent Secretary Dr. Mavis Sibanda stated that the workshop aimed to assess the Ministry’s performance during NDS1, identify areas for improvement, and inform strategic planning for NDS2.
The Ministry noted that the consultative process is essential, with partners playing a key role in complementing government efforts in advancing the development of women, communities, and small to medium enterprises.
Participants included representatives from other government ministries, UN Women, the Women’s Academy for Leadership and Political Excellence, the United Nations Population Fund, civil society organizations, and the British Embassy.
