Ministry of Health and Child Care Warns Against Nursing Recruitment Scam

The Ministry of Health and Child Care has warned the public against a fraudulent nursing recruitment scheme led by individuals posing as health officials.
The scam, linked to a Sister Madya from the Outpatient Department and a Doctor Madyira, operates through WhatsApp number 0773815136. Victims are asked to provide personal details and pay a USD75 recruitment fee via InnBucks or Mukuru.
Scammers claim to guarantee placement at hospitals such as United Bulawayo Hospitals, Mpilo, Gutu, Parirenyatwa, Sally Mugabe and Karanda.
The ministry clarified that the official recruitment process is free and urged the public to report such scams to the police or ministry offices. It also advised aspiring nurses to use verified channels for accurate information.
Investigations are ongoing to apprehend those responsible.
