The Minister of Mines and Mining Development, Honourable Winston Chitando, has called on mining companies to support students in the mining sector. In a recent interview, Honourable Chitando emphasized the importance of investing in the next generation of professionals.

He urged mining companies to provide attachments and training opportunities for students, in addition to hiring qualified graduates. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical industry skills.

Furthermore, the government has encouraged the Zimbabwe Miners Federation and the Chamber of Mines to ensure that all entities offer attachments for students, promoting collaboration between industry and academia. This support is expected to enhance the quality of education and prepare students to meet the demands of the mining sector.
