The Zimbabwe Republic Police is urging the public to refrain from flaunting their wealth and status, especially to friends and on social media as this can attract criminal attention and potentially lead to violent crimes like murder.
Speaking during a show on Skyz Metro FM, Bulawayo Provincial Spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube, cautioned against publicly showcasing successes or posting about them on social media as this can potentially attract unwanted criminal attention.
This warning also comes in the wake of a devastating double murder incident that occurred last week. Zibusiso Ndlovu, from Northerned was tragically killed by his workmates Mbonisi Lunga, Nketa and Nkosiphile Ndlovu from Cowdrypark after being entrusted with $20000 for work related purposes. In a shocking turn of events Mbonisi Lunga, one of the perpetrator, later succumbed in food poisoning.
Meanwhile, the Zimbabwe Republic Police have made a substantial recovery of funds, with approximately $17000 being retrieved from various hiding places.
