Govt’s Rural Development Programme Yields Fruitful Results

The government’s rural development programme has achieved commendable milestones, establishing over 1000 thriving rural business units and sinking almost 3000 boreholes to provide clean water to rural communities.

The programme encompasses rural industrialization, rural development, village business units, and borehole sinking projects.

So far, 44 chiefs and 21 schools have benefited from the programme, with 248 more business units under construction. The village business units have transformed thousands of lives, providing nutritious vegetables, additional income, and access to clean water for drinking and livestock.

The programme has also enabled parents to afford school fees, reducing the number of pupils sent away from school.
