Five men from Tsholotsho have been remanded in custody until the 19th of May 2025, following their appearance in court on charges of attempted murder.

The group, identified as Nkophile Moyo, Comfort Dube, Khuzani Ncube, Passmore Tshuma, and Qhubekani Moyo, allegedly assaulted 26-year-old Roderick Ndlovu with knobkerries and a golf club at Ntulula Business Centre in Tsholotsho on April 26th during a beer-drinking session.

According to the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ), Ndlovu lost consciousness as a result of the severe beating. The case has now been transferred to the Bulawayo Regional Court for trial.

In a statement, NPAZ urged members of the public to desist from any form of violence and instead seek amicable resolutions or third-party mediation to settle disputes.
