Deputy Minister for Health and Child Care Kwidini yesterday officially opened the Bulawayo Chapters of College of Primary Healthcare Physicians of Zimbabwe (CPCPZ)and the Pharmaceutical Society of Zimbabwe (PSZ) annual Joint Congress at Holiday Inn in Bulawayo.
The joint congress which ends today brought together doctors and pharmacists to discuss ways of improving patient care and come up with strategies that incorporates both professions to improve on service delivery.
Deputy Minister Kwidini called for collaboration among medical professionals in delivering health care services. He added that individualism does not benefit the society.
Deputy Minister Kwidini emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in the country’s health care sector. Addressing private health care providers, Kwidini urged them to join hands with the government to deliver quality health care services to the citizens.
The Congress is held annually and it will be attended by members of the (CPCPZ&PSZ)in different sectors and some from South Africa and Botswana.
