Cuban Delegation Visits Zimbabwe

A Cuban delegation, led by Hon Esteban Lazo Hernandez, the President of the National Assembly of People’s Power, has arrived in Zimbabwe in celebration of 45 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The delegation was warmly welcomed by the Speaker of Parliament, Hon Advocate J.F.N Mudenda.
Today, the delegation will pay a courtesy call on H.E. Dr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, aimed at reflecting on the long-standing cooperation and solidarity between Zimbabwe and Cuba. The delegation will also engage in discussions with senior government officials to address current challenges and explore new areas for collaboration.
The highlight of the visit will be the delegation’s trip to the Monument in Honour of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz in Harare, which pays tribute to Castro’s legacy and his support for liberation movements in Zimbabwe and Africa. Additionally, they will tour the African Liberation Museum, celebrating the shared history of the struggle against colonialism.
