Beitbridge Man Jailed for Attempted Murder after okapi knife and donkey whip fight

Nkosilathi Ndlovu, from Ipaye village under Chief Sithaudze, has been sentenced to five years in prison for attempted murder after a violent altercation in Shashe, Beitbridge.
The incident occurred on 18 October at Toporo business centre, where Ndlovu and the victim got into an argument. Ndlovu initially assaulted the victim with a donkey whip, which escalated into a fight.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority, Ndlovu then pulled out an okapi knife and stabbed the victim in the chest. He was only stopped by bystanders and arrested soon after. The victim was rushed to the hospital.
