Alarming increase of murder cases during festive season

The Zimbabwe Republic Police has confirmed 47 cases of murder during the festive season all over the country.
In a statement by the ZRP, the 47 cases were recorded between 20 and 26 December. Most of the cases involve beer disputes,family disagreements, attacks while walking at night, fights over lovers, and settling Christmas day bets.
On 25 December,Ostern Mangura from Triangle was hit on the head with a stone during an argument. While Sydney Mudzengi from Shurigwi was stabbed after an argument over a token that went missing during a pool match. In Bulawayo, Liberty Khezwa was stabbed while walking home from a party.
The police are urging the public to celebrate the festive season responsible.
