Zimbabwe’s eT Ready Report: A Pathway to E-Commerce Empowerment

The Zimbabwe eTrade Readiness Assessment (eT Ready) Report has been officially launched by the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Hon. Nqobizitha Mangaliso Ndhlovu, with Chief Director for the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Dr. Douglas Runyowa representing him.

This initiative aims to serve as a guide for the country’s digital transformation, highlighting its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges across seven essential pillars outlined in the report.

During his address to the attendees, Dr. Runyowa pointed out that the seven focal areas include e-commerce, assessment, ICT infrastructure and services, payment solutions, trade facilitation and logistics, legal and regulatory frameworks, as well as e-commerce skills development and access to finance.

Dr. Runyowa noted that the report highlights the importance of targeted interventions to ensure industries can adapt and thrive in an increasingly interconnected global landscape.
