1,622 Recruits Capped at ZPCS Pass-Out Parade in Ntabazinduna

A total of 1,622 recruits were capped yesterday by President Emmerson Mnangagwa during the pass-out parade for Courses 154 and 155 at the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service (ZPCS) Training Depot in Ntabazinduna.

The graduating class comprised 1,109 males and 513 females, including 20 recruits from the San community in Matabeleland North.

Presiding over the ceremony, President Mnangagwa praised the 1,619 officers who successfully completed the rigorous six-month training program, which tested both their physical and intellectual endurance.

He further commended the ZPCS for promoting gender equality, as reflected in the composition of the recruits.

The event was graced by newly recruited correctional officers, senior prison officials, government dignitaries, as well as the families and guardians of the graduates.

This graduation marked the 154th pass-out parade for the ZPCS.
