Zimbabwe’s Aviation and Tourism Sectors Boosted with New Helipad Facility

The Transport and Infrastructural Development Minister, Hon. Felix Mhona, has officially inaugurated a state-of-the-art helipad facility for the Zambezi Helicopter Company in Victoria Falls.

The world-class hub is a significant milestone for Zimbabwe’s aviation and tourism sectors, showcasing the country’s commitment to developing its infrastructure and promoting economic growth.

The facility features three operational helipads, a luxurious passenger terminal with stunning views of Victoria Falls, a maintenance hangar, and a fuel storage facility.

According to Hon. Mhona, this project is a major vote of confidence in Zimbabwe’s economy and is expected to create employment opportunities for the local community.

The helipad facility aligns with the government’s vision to position Victoria Falls as a premier tourism and conferencing hub for Southern Africa. It also promotes the Victoria Falls Special Economic Zone, encouraging investment in hospitality, transport, and aviation.
