Zimbabwe Urged To Turn Everyday Experiences Into Tourism
Written by Staff Reporter on September 8, 2026
Zimbabwe has been challenged to creatively package its everyday experiences into tourism products capable of attracting international visitors.
Gauteng Convention and Events Executive Director Noni Kubega stated that Zimbabwe already has unique heritage, culture and community experiences, but needs to market them differently.
Speaking during a MICE workshop on the sidelines of the Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo in Masvingo recently, Kubega urged tourism players to look beyond conventional attractions.
She also proposed tourism stokvels, where communities and businesses can pool resources to develop tourism experiences.
Kubega said Zimbabweans often overlook everyday attractions because they are familiar with them.
