Victoria Falls Safari Lodge Hosts Joyful Carols by Candlelight

Victoria Falls Safari Lodge welcomed hundreds of community members yesterday, including children and adults, to its annual Carols by Candlelight. The evening’s theme centered around giving back, with donations benefiting the Victoria Falls Anti-Poaching Unit (VFAPU)

The lodge’s lush gardens twinkled with ferry lights setting the tone for a magical night. Father Christmas made a special appearance, delighting children with gifts and warmth.”I was so happy to see Father Christmas, he gave me some sweets,” said Nokuthula Ncube, a five year old girl.

The crowd enthusiastically joined in singing Christmas carols, filling the air with joyful melodies.

Victor Saurombe, General Manager of Victoria Falls Safari Lodge estate, expressed gratitude for the community’s overwhelming presence. “We are thrilled by the turnout and generosity, tonight, we have made a tangible difference in spreading the message about Zimbabwe’s precious wildlife.”

The VFAPU, established in 1999 by Charles Brightman and Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, works tirelessly to protect the region’s unique flora and fauna, reducing human-wildlife conflict.

Attendees generously made contributions. “A wonderful initiative, fostering community spirit and social responsibility,” said one attendee. Another added, “The lodge’s commitment to conservation and social welfare is truly inspiring.”

The event featured Christmas carol performances, Father Christmas’s appearance, a donation drive, and community networking. “A magical evening, bringing joy to children and support to vital causes,” said a parent.

Saurombe emphasized the lodge’s dedication, “we are committed to community engagement and conservation, tonight reinforces our mission”, he said. The Carols by Candlelight has become a cherished tradition, promoting unity and social responsibility.
