Vice President Urges Joint Efforts to Tackle Drug Abuse, Protect Children’s Future

Addressing a gathering commemorating the life and works of Dr. Joshua Nkomo at White City Stadium recently, Vice President Kembo Mohadi delivered a passionate plea for joint efforts to tackle drug abuse and protect children’s future.
Vice president Mohadi emphasized that Zimbabwe’s children are the future of the nation and stressed the importance of safeguarding their well-being.
He called for teachers and parents to work together to monitor children’s behavior, and urged communities to report drug dealers to the authorities.
Vice president further emphasized the importance of discipline, education, and taking advantage of the opportunities created by the government. He urged the young people to follow the example of the late leader and to seek out information about government programs and services.
Meanwhile, the government, through its various departments, says it will ensure the rights of young people are upheld as enshrined in the constitution of Zimbabwe. For that reason government prohibits turning away of learners from public primary and secondary schools due to lack of school fees payment.
