Police Speak on 8-Month-Old Baby Killed by Bulawayo Farmer

Following the tragic incident on Tuesday afternoon at a plot in Glengarry, Bulawayo, where an 8-month-old baby was fatally run over by a reversing Isuzu DMax vehicle, Zimbabwe Republic Police have confirmed the details.
The baby, who was left unattended by her mother while she harvested tomatoes at the plot, was sleeping near the vehicle when it began reversing and struck the child around 13:00 hours.
Zimbabwe Republic Police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Nomalanga Msebele, addressed the situation, urging parents and caregivers to ensure their children are placed in safe environments.
Insp. Msebele also urged drivers to exercise caution when reversing, emphasizing the need to always check their surroundings.
The tragic incident serves as a stark reminder of the need for vigilance to prevent such accidents.
