The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is urging the public to assist in the ongoing investigation of the Ecobank robbery in Bulawayo, where USD 4 million was stolen.
The heist, which occurred on the 3rd of October involved armed robbers overpowering a Safeguard security driver and making off with six trunks filled with cash.
Commissioner Paul Nyathi, the national spokesperson for the ZRP, implored anyone with information to come forward, emphasizing that even the smallest detail could lead to a breakthrough in the case.
He cited that the police are working tirelessly to bring the culprits to justice and ensure the safety of the community.
Nyathi also cautioned the public against believing the swirling rumors circulating on social media regarding the alleged capture of the robbers, reiterating that such misinformation only hampers the investigation.
