The President of the Pan African Parliament (PAP), Chief Fortune Charumbira, paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Prof. Amon Murwira, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.

During their meeting, they addressed the PAP’s resolution to send a delegation of members of parliament from all five regions of the continent. In a recent address, President Charumbira stated that the PAP condemns the sanctions, as they hurt innocent, ordinary people on the street.

This initiative will involve visits to countries that have imposed sanctions on Zimbabwe, aiming to persuade these nations that the sanctions are counterproductive and benefit no one, including the nations that enacted them.

The Pan African Parliament (PAP) is the legislative body of the African Union (AU), composed of representatives from the 55 African countries.
