Minister Murwira Urges Accelerated Implementation of China-Africa Partnership Actions

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Professor Amon Murwira, has emphasized the critical need to speed up the implementation of agreements made within the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).

Speaking on the sidelines of the FOCAC meeting recently, Minister Murwira highlighted the importance of moving beyond discussions to practical outcomes.

He stated that the Forum, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, has already driven growth in China-Africa cooperation, serving as a model of solidarity and cooperation of the Global South.

The ten partnership actions cover a wide range of areas crucial for Africa’s development, including industrialization, agricultural modernization, talent development, infrastructure connectivity, green development, peace and security, digital innovation, customs and trade, health, and people-to-people exchanges.
