Highlanders Football Club have parted ways with head coach Kelvin Kaindu with immediate effect, following a disappointing run of results that has seen the team drop to ninth place in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
The club confirmed the development in a statement released on Monday, citing the team’s recent performance as the reason behind the decision. After 17 matches, Highlanders have collected 23 points, 12 behind log leaders Simba Bhora, who sit on 35.
In the interim, First Assistant Coach Try Ncube has been tasked with taking charge of the team, with support from Second Assistant Coach Agent Sawu. The rest of the technical team will remain unchanged.
The club also acknowledged Kaindu’s contributions during his tenure and indicated that it wishes him well in his future pursuits.
