Gamecocks secures a win, Manica diamonds draw

The Castle Lager Premiership matchday 28 concluded yesterday with a number of thrilling fixtures, being played across the local league.
Chicken Inn FC secured a comfortable 2-0 win over Bulawayo Chiefs, thanks to goals from Joseph Thulani and Malvin Whata. Thulani opened the scoring in the first half, and Whata doubled Chicken Inn’s lead in the second half to seal the victory.
In another match, CAPS United and Yadah FC played out a 1-1 draw. William Manondo put CAPS United ahead in the 44th minute of the match with his 12th goal of the season, but Yadah managed to equalize in the second half.
Meanwhile, Manica Diamonds and Bikita Minerals played out a goalless draw. Both teams had chances to score but were unable to break the deadlock.
In the final match of the weekend, Chegutu Pirates suffered a narrow 0-1 defeat to TelOne. The lone goal of the match was scored in the second half.
