Anticipation is building in Manicaland as it prepares to take center stage for the Sanganai/Hlanganani Kumbanayi Tourism Expo 2025. This major event, running September 10-12 at Mutare Sports Club, promises to spotlight the province’s immense potential.
Leading the charge, Tourism Minister Hon. Barbara Rwodzi convened key stakeholders in Mutare, joined by Manicaland Provincial Minister Adv. Misheck Mugadza and Deputy Tourism Minister Hon. Tongai Mnangagwa. The message was clear: united efforts are crucial to showcase Manicaland as Zimbabwe’s must-visit destination.
“We call on our local businesses to innovate and elevate their offerings,” stated Minister Rwodzi. She highlighted the need for spotless accommodation, extending to private homes, to welcome expected buyers, exhibitors, and tourists. Sustainable development through the 2% tourism levy remittance was also underscored.
To ensure a seamless experience, the government is actively upgrading Mutare’s infrastructure – roads, public facilities, the Sports Club venue, and Grand Reef Aerodrome. With its majestic green hills, mountains, and vibrant culture, the Eastern Highlands is poised to deliver an unforgettable showcase of Zimbabwean hospitality and beauty.
