South African based side Magesi Football club goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze hopes to return to the Zimbabwe national team if he continues to work hard and improve, following his impressive performances in the Carling Black Label tournament.
Chipezeze helped his team secure their first historic Carling Black Label Cup after they beat league champions Sundowns by 2 goals to 1. The shotsopper enjoyed a successful run in the tournament, earning four Man of the Match awards, each worth R100,000 as his side marched to glory.
Speaking to the South African media, Chipezeze revealed that he is open to returning to play for the Warriors, but he first needs to put in more effort and improve his game going forward.
Meanwhile, former Chicken Inn striker Edmore Chirambadare played a crucial role in Magesi’s victory over Sundowns, assisting both goals that secured the trophy for his team.
