*Breast Cancer Awareness: Prosecutor General’s Office Urges Regular Screening*
Written by Staff Reporter on October 6, 2026
The National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ) has urged members of the public to undergo regular breast cancer screening as the world marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Deputy Prosecutor General Mrs Tariro Takuva says early detection and treatment significantly improve the chances of recovering from the disease.
She says while breast cancer remains the most common cancer among women, cases are also being detected in men.
Mrs Takuva has also commended organisations raising awareness on breast cancer and teaching people how to carry out self-screening at home.
She is urging those diagnosed with the disease to seek guidance from trained health professionals and encouraging communities to support people living with or affected by breast cancer.
