Our Pride Enabling Lives Donates Wheelchairs to Two Children in Victoria Falls

Two children living with cerebral palsy have received wheelchairs through a community support initiative by Our Pride Enabling Lives (CBO), in partnership with Victoria Falls Hospital and the Victoria Falls City Community Services Department.

The donation was made on Friday at Victoria Falls Hospital, with the two beneficiaries coming from Ndlovu Village and Mkhosana.

Speaking on behalf of Our Pride Enabling Lives, Mr F. Mafira said the donation was aimed at improving the children’s mobility, comfort and independence.

The provision of appropriate mobility equipment is expected to make daily movement easier for the children and provide greater support to their families.

Mr Mafira said the organisation was grateful for the opportunity to support vulnerable members of the community.

“It is grace for us to serve,” he said.

However, Mafira appealed to members of the community, businesses and well-wishers to continue supporting people living with disabilities.

He said there were many families facing challenges in accessing essential equipment and other forms of assistance, adding that community involvement could make a significant difference.

The organisation is encouraging people to assist where they can, whether through financial contributions, donations of appropriate equipment or volunteering their time.

The wheelchair donation forms part of Our Pride Enabling Lives’ efforts to support vulnerable families and promote greater inclusion of people living with disabilities in the Victoria Falls community.
